Hello Gluten Free Corn Dogs

There are some foods that you love as a kid and are still just as much fun when you are a grownup.  I feel corn dogs fit into that category.  You take the goodness of a hot dog, wrap it in cornmeal and cook it till it is golden brown and people will stand in line.  Not to mention the awesome convenience of this fun food being on a stick!

GF corn dogs

As a Gluten Free person corn dogs used to be only in my past, until Foster Farms came out with their Gluten Free Corn Dogs!  Score one for our childhood dreams coming true!  There is so much to love and be excited about with this new product.

  1. The Foster Farm Gluten Free Corn Dogs are certified Gluten Free
  2. They are certified by the Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG)
  3. Foster Farms uses a 100% chicken frank
  4. The corn dogs are double dipped in honey batter
  5. They taste like real corn dogs!

The box comes with 12 corn dogs.  You can microwave them or bake them in the oven.  We found the texture to be better when cooked in the oven.   Our kiddos devoured these Gluten Free corn dogs!  The three year olds went through two each in one sitting!

Want to know where you can find them?  Here is the list of retailers that carry the Foster Farms Gluten Free Corn Dogs:

Safeway, Kroger, Raley’s, Lucky, Albertsons, Giant Eagle, Woodman’s, Schnucks, Food Lion, HyVee and Marsh.

The corn dogs do have soy and eggs  if those items are an issue for you but they are dairy free.

Just so you know Foster Farms isn’t new to the corn dog business, they are America’s number one selling corn dog line and have been making chicken products since 1939.

Now the important question: ketchup or mustard?

My absolute favorite thing to dip corn dogs in is Chick Fil A Sauce! But when I don’t have any, I prefer BBQ sauce 😀

I usually dip mine in ketchup or mustard, unless I have cheese sauce, in which case it is a no-brainer.

I use both ketchup and mustard and mix them together. I’ve been doing it since I was a kid! These were a Summer staple for me growing up.

I dip mine in air…..honestly, I love ’em straight up! If I HAD to, I might do BBQ sauce. It seems like an appropriate match.
