Gluten Free Overnight Oats

Are you looking for a new breakfast or morning snack?  Are you looking for something that is filling, tastes good and good for you?  Let me introduce you to… Gluten Free Overnight Oats!

This super, fun food is also easy to make!  I can prepare one of these babies in under four minutes.  The idea is to put all the goodness into a glass jar the night before, let is “cook” overnight in the fridge and you get to enjoy it the next morning.

I have enjoyed three different flavors of overnight oats this week, I may be addicted!

Make sure you use Gluten Free oats!

Here is the basic recipe…

What You Need:
1/2 cup GF Rolled Oats
1 tsp chia seeds or flax seeds or hemp hearts
1/2 cup greek yogurt
1/2 cup milk or almond milk
Mix in of choice – see below

How to Make It:
Layer the ingredients in a glass jar in the order listed above.  Seal and put in the refrigerator overnight.  The next morning stir it all together and enjoy!

Mix In Options
Sliced strawberries
Frozen blueberries
Peanut butter & banana
Nutella
Chocolate chips
Nuts

My favorite so far is peanut butter and banana overnight oats!

These have been great for my post workout breakfast and mid-morning snack!  They fill me up and satisfy my hunger till I get home for lunch.

These will become a part of my weekly eating!

What will you put in your Gluten Free Overnight Oats?

I use the wide mouth 16oz mason jars. You could also use the 8oz for a smaller portion.

The calorie count varies drastically based on what ingredients you use. If calories are an issue use, low cal yogurt and such.
