Pillsbury Goes Gluten Free

Curiosity got the best of me this week at the grocery store so I finally bought some of the new Gluten Free Pillsbury cookie dough.  A bunch of people have recently been trying the three new products and have been posting pictures on Instagram and Facebook.

Admittedly I’m not a make it from scratch kind of girl.  One, I don’t have the time and two, I’m just not that cool!  So I LOVE good Gluten Free products that make life easier.

Upon first inspection the dough looked like gluten-filled cookie dough that I used to eat out of the tube.  Go ahead and admit you did the same thing!  Hubby and I could kill a tube of cookie dough with two spoons in one sitting.  The dough was easy to scoop out and even tasted good uncooked (yes that means I ate raw dough).

The end result was pretty surprising!  Legit good chocolate chip cookies.  Whatever R&D Pillsbury did was worth it.  The taste was perfect and so was the texture!  I can’t wait to try the pizza dough and pie dough.

I can see these being in the house to help Little B.  It will be much easier to whip up a batch of these for her to have at a party or school function than have to get out all the GF flours and make my own.

I met Hubby at the door with these and he was wowed.  He even asked if they were Gluten Free!  I then showed him the Pillsbury tub of dough.  He had the same response I did, “those are legit!”

The Pillsbury website even has recipe ideas for the new doughs!   The site also has a $1 off coupon if you want to try some!

Enjoy!

Glad to hear you liked the cookie dough! I bought a tub of the pizza dough but haven’t made it yet – I’ve heard very mixed reviews so I’m really hoping I like it…
